The Procurement Leader – NPD/MCP will be responsible for multiple NPD/MCP Supply Chain projects, collaborating with Platform NPD and cross-functional teams to develop and implement project plans for New Product Development, Engineering-to-Order, cost savings, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong understanding of the procurement process at an operational and leadership level.
  • Experience in Supplier Negotiations & Sourcing Strategies
  • Knowledge of Should Cost Modeling highly preferred
  • Project Management experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability for independent thinking and multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple supply chain projects, working with cross-functional teams and standard work to build and execute project implementation plans for NPD, cost savings, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, commodity teams, purchasing, materials, operations, engineering, finance, quality, and field operations to complete projects and achieve expected benefits within the project timeline.
  • Partner with Platform teams to assist with project charters, benefits, and resource requirements.
  • Actively participate in sector/plant NPD/ETO/MCP gate reviews, ensuring required cross-functional resources are allocated for project execution.
  • Monitor active projects, update status, eliminate roadblocks, and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Investigate, coordinate, and communicate project changes.
  • Create and revise project schedules, business cases, risk assessments, and other project management tools.
  • Create and conduct presentations for project approvals and monthly status updates.
  • Identify gaps to goals and collaboratively develop and support countermeasures and activities to close the gap and exceed targets.
  • Support the development of the Annual Operating Plan for Projects, productivity projects, targets, and initiatives for NPD/ETO/MCP Projects and Platforms.
  • Support the standard setting process for responsible plants within the NPD/ETO/MCP Process.
