About The Position

Performance Food Group is seeking a Procurement Intern for its Performance Foodservice business. The intern will gain hands-on experience supporting procurement activities and learn how teams manage supplier relationships, pricing, contract terms, service levels, and inventory. The internship includes day-to-day work and a meaningful business project, with opportunities to collaborate across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Human Resources and present findings and recommendations to business leaders. The internship runs from June 2027 through August 2027 and is in person in St. Louis, Missouri. Compensation is $22 per hour. Students from all majors and backgrounds are welcome to apply; Economics, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field are listed as areas of study for the internship.

Requirements

Must be located within commuting distance of 25 miles.
Must be a rising junior or rising senior.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service skills and business acumen.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Rising senior status.
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Economics, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field of study.

Responsibilities

Learn how procurement teams manage vendor and supplier relationships.
Support purchasing activities involving pricing, contract terms, service levels, and inventory tracking.
Assist with day-to-day procurement activities, customer service, and business projects.
Partner with teams across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Human Resources.
