About The Position

The Procurement Expeditor will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials to support production schedules and maintain inventory levels. This role will coordinate with suppliers and internal teams and identify and resolve logistical issues.

Requirements

  • AS/AA Degree and/or at least 2 years of education, training, and experience in supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software to check purchase orders and maintain purchasing records.
  • Skilled in setting priorities and excels in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties
  • Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products

  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
  • This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
  • Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
  • A “U.S. person” according to the ITAR definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee or asylee. See 22 CFR § 120.15.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and anticipate material shortages or excesses.
  • Review purchase orders and delivery schedules for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing teams to prioritize open orders advise Buyer of changes to purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with Receiving Inspection incoming materials for quality and accuracy and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of material transactions and update inventory management systems.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline material procurement processes and reduce costs.
  • Resolve logistical issues, such as shipping delays or damaged goods, in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and transportation providers to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management strategies.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing team to pull in or push out purchase orders.
  • Other duties as assigned
