About The Position

Our Procurement internship experience is a 10.5 week full-time opportunity that starts on May 24th, 2027, and concludes on August 4th, 2027. This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in office with the other 2 days each week working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice. Job Location: Woonsocket, RI. Interns may qualify for housing assistance in the form of company-provided housing. The hourly rate is $26/hr with 40 hours/ week, no work on July 4th (company holiday), and two days of paid leave. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs. Working alongside CVS Health Sourcing and Category Management leaders, interns gain hands-on experience across the sourcing lifecycle — from spend analysis and competitive bidding processes to supplier coordination and contract review — building the technical and business skills needed to launch a career in Corporate Procurement at a top Fortune company. Our CVS Health Procurement organization — spanning Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, and Transformation — serves as a strategic partner to the business, driving savings, managing supplier risk, and modernizing how we source goods and services. Interns receive hands-on exposure to sourcing tools and dashboards, mentorship from category leads and Procurement leadership, and build a lasting professional network.

Requirements

  • Meet educational requirements (see education section)
  • Anticipated completion of a bachelor's degree program by full-time start date (January 2027 – August 2028) or equivalent experience; Master's students completing 3+1 or 4+1 programs may be considered.
  • Major, minor, concentration, or work experience relevant to Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Communications, Psychology, or a similar quantitative field.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong interest in data analysis and using technology, automation, and reporting tools to support sourcing decisions.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience — active roles in student organizations, sports, or school/work-related projects.
  • Strong Excel proficiency, with exposure to dashboard or analytics tools and competitive bidding processes a plus.
  • Clear, organized communicator able to explain data and findings while managing multiple deadlines.
