About The Position

The Procurement Coordinator is a transactional and execution-focused role responsible for purchasing materials, maintaining supply continuity, supporting vendor-driven projects, and assisting day-to-day procurement operations. This role ensures timely order placement, supplier follow-up, accurate system data, and coordination of vendor activities to support production schedules, inventory targets, and operational readiness.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or project coordination experience
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills across cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred (regulated industry a plus)
  • Exposure to vendor management, supplier coordination, or manufacturing project support preferred
  • Experience supporting equipment builds, manufacturing transfers, or supplier-driven projects is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Execute purchase orders (POs) in alignment with demand plans, MRP signals, and min/max levels
  • Expedite orders to meet production needs and resolve shortages proactively
  • Maintain accurate supplier delivery dates and order status in ERP (e.g., D365)
  • Coordinate closely with manufacturing, planning, engineering, and quality on material availability and issues
  • Track and manage open orders, back orders, and past-due items
  • Support incoming inspection coordination and supplier quality issue follow-up
  • Assist with supplier communication on lead times, pricing updates, and order confirmations
  • Maintain item master data (lead times, MOQ, pricing, supplier info)
  • Support inventory management efforts, including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution
  • Participate in cost control initiatives and identify basic cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality/regulatory requirements
  • Support project management activities related to vendors, building repairs, equipment, fixtures, automation, and outsourced manufacturing work
  • Coordinate timelines, deliverables, quotes, and status updates with external vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Track vendor project milestones, risks, lead times, and action items to support production readiness and implementation schedules
  • Assist with supplier onboarding, documentation collection, and follow-up for quality and regulatory requirements
  • Support cross-functional coordination for equipment installation, validation, and operational implementation activities
