About The Opportunity As a Procurement Associate for Wonder you will work collaboratively & cross functionally with the merchant team, forecasting team, warehouse operations & accounts payable. You will ensure that all raw materials arrive to the Wonder production & distribution facilities in time and in specification.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a Buying position, preferably food experience within foodservice or retail setting
- Team player that appreciates other points of view & ideas
- Excellent project management and leadership skills
- Has a sense of urgency & great attention to detail
- Able to grasp concepts quickly and apply the learning
- Self-starter that does not mind seeking answers & information
- Embraces a fast-paced environment & can pivot as needed
Responsibilities
- Develop & maintain positive relationships with supplier partners via e-mail, virtual meetings & direct calls.
- Sustain proper inventory levels by evaluating/submitting purchase orders & ensuring they are delivered on time.
- Address & rectify any quality concerns of raw materials presented by culinary & operational teams to supplier partners.
- Communicate forecasting changes to supplier partners.
- Work cross-functionally to meet launch dates of new raw materials.
- Evaluate reporting to minimize waste at production & distribution facilities
