About The Position

As a Procurement Associate for Wonder, you will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with the merchant team, forecasting team, warehouse operations, and accounts payable. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all raw materials arrive at the Wonder production and distribution facilities on time and in specification. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our supply chain and ensuring the quality of our products.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a Buying position, preferably food experience within a foodservice or retail setting.
  • Team player that appreciates other points of view and ideas.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Has a sense of urgency and great attention to detail.
  • Able to grasp concepts quickly and apply the learning.
  • Self-starter that does not mind seeking answers and information.
  • Embraces a fast-paced environment and can pivot as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with supplier partners via email, virtual meetings, and direct calls.
  • Sustain proper inventory levels by evaluating and submitting purchase orders, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Address and rectify any quality concerns of raw materials presented by culinary and operational teams to supplier partners.
  • Communicate forecasting changes to supplier partners.
  • Work cross-functionally to meet launch dates of new raw materials.
  • Evaluate reporting to minimize waste at production and distribution facilities.
