About The Position

The City of Rockingham is seeking a Procurement and Assurance Officer to support day-to-day procurement, compliance, and coordination activities across Depot operations. This is a hands-on, operational role focused on supporting internal processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance requirements are met. The role involves working closely with Depot staff to ensure smooth operations on the ground. Requirements

  • Experience in procurement, contract support, or compliance within an operational environment (e.g., depot, fleet, workshop, or similar).
  • Sound working knowledge of procurement processes and organisational policies.
  • Ability to apply safety, risk, and compliance requirements in a practical work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Ability to analyse information and prepare clear, practical reports or summaries.
  • Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal stakeholders and provide guidance.
  • Experience providing day-to-day guidance or coordination of staff in an operational setting.
  • Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting, Business, or a related discipline or considerable practical experience deemed equivalent.
  • Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day procurement activities within Depot operations.
  • Manage compliance and coordination activities across Depot operations.
  • Support internal processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and provide guidance.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance or coordination of staff in an operational setting.
