About The Position

The Procurement Analytics Co-op is a six-month role providing hands-on experience in a global manufacturing environment. The role includes exposure to strategic sourcing, procurement analytics, master data management, and digital transformation initiatives, with mentorship from experienced procurement professionals. The successful candidate will work with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and the Data & Analytics Hub to identify opportunities, improve data quality, and support AI-enabled solutions that enhance procurement performance and business outcomes. The position follows a hybrid schedule, working 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI.
• Strong analytical thinking, data visualization, and pattern recognition skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative corporate environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in data management and reporting.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning procurement, analytics, and AI applications.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or business analytics.
• Interest in sourcing concepts such as RFx processes, supplier research, spend analysis, cost reduction, and supplier performance management.
• Strong desire to develop analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills, including exposure to total cost of ownership (TCO) concepts.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; O-I does not sponsor employment visas for internships or co-op positions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python, R, SQL, or other data analytics and programming tools.
• Previous internship, co-op, or relevant academic project experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze procurement and spend data to identify sourcing, cost savings, and process improvement opportunities.
• Support procurement reporting, dashboards, and data visualization initiatives.
• Cleanse, enrich, and maintain procurement master data to support O-I's digital and AI-enabled transformation roadmap.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve end-to-end supply chain processes and procurement effectiveness.
• Assist with supplier evaluations, sourcing projects, and procurement documentation.
• Support the development of analytics and AI solutions in partnership with O-I's Data & Analytics Hub.
• Gain hands-on experience with enterprise procurement and supply chain systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable business results.
• Develop project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
