About The Position

CACI seeks a talented Procurement Specialist to join our Mission Support and Engineering Services group. The Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that procurement activities are conducted efficiently and in compliance with all relevant policies and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for supplier management, cost analysis, compliance, and documentation, as well as supporting project managers and other stakeholders in achieving procurement goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and federal acquisition regulations.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a procurement position working with NSWC Crane, NUWC or other DOD customers
  • Experience with CACI or similar government contracting environments.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPSD).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track procurement activities to ensure efficient and compliant procurement processes for CACI.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including requisitioning, sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with CACI policies, federal regulations, and contract requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities using procurement software and systems.
  • Generate regular reports on procurement status, spend analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Track procurement milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Maintain and update supplier information in the procurement system.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Conduct cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Assist in budget planning and forecasting for procurement-related expenses.
  • Ensure all procurement documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits related to procurement activities.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, finance, and operations teams, to understand procurement needs and requirements.
  • Communicate procurement status and issues to management and relevant teams.
