About The Position

CACI seeks a talented Procurement Specialist to join our Mission Support and Engineering Services group. The Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that procurement activities are conducted efficiently and in compliance with all relevant policies and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for supplier management, cost analysis, compliance, and documentation, as well as supporting project managers and other stakeholders in achieving procurement goals. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and federal acquisition regulations.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a procurement position working with NSWC Crane, NUWC or other DOD customers
  • Experience with CACI or similar government contracting environments.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPSD).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track procurement activities to ensure efficient and compliant procurement processes for CACI.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including requisitioning, sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with CACI policies, federal regulations, and contract requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities using procurement software and systems.
  • Generate regular reports on procurement status, spend analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Track procurement milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Maintain and update supplier information in the procurement system.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Conduct cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Assist in budget planning and forecasting for procurement-related expenses.
  • Ensure all procurement documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits related to procurement activities.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, finance, and operations teams, to understand procurement needs and requirements.
  • Communicate procurement status and issues to management and relevant teams.
