About The Position

The Procurement Analyst I is responsible for the planning, organizing, and execution of strategic and tactical procurement activities, specifically purchasing critical hardware components for production and service needs across multiple value streams. This position reports to the Procurement Manager and is part of the Hardware Procurement Department located in Chaska, Minnesota and is an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Follow material procurement and supplier management policies & procedures through SOP work instructions for supply chain. Work closely with Planning, Manufacturing, QC, Technical Operations, Supplier Engineering, and Shipping/Receiving functions to track and report status and define priorities to meet production schedules. Manage escalation communications, part shortages, and expediting when necessary; work closely with Corporate Strategic Sourcing group to determine long-term corrective/preventative projects. Drive targeted, sustainable improvement in supplier OTD, Working Capital turns, Purchase Price Variance, and related KPI’s/objectives by leveraging DBS tools, facilitation skills, and change management. Drive towards process improvements leveraging data.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a high-volume work environment using interpersonal leadership skills
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems: Oracle EBS and Oracle Cloud working knowledge is preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI with the ability to learn new programs that are job specific.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment managing high volume

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated knowledge of how to effectively operate in a regulated environment (FDA, GMED, NCIS etc.).
  • Previous experience with lean manufacturing processes
