About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Procurement Agent to join our dynamic team in Hazelwood, Missouri. The MQ-25 Program is an innovative and highly visible effort supporting the future of naval aviation. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking unmanned aerial refueling platform that will play a critical role in enhancing mission capability, readiness, and operational flexibility for our customers. Requirements

  • Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in fast paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Experience working both independently and in team environments.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Experience interfacing with customers or suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals.
  • Experience working directly with suppliers and supplier management.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills with strong sense of customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with continuous review and analysis of demand and supply.
  • Supports the sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements.
  • Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities.
  • Works cross functionally and with suppliers on payment issue resolution.
  • Collaborates with Quality department on defective or unacceptable goods and determines appropriate course of action.
  • Complete actions as necessary to resolve issues.
  • Production and spares pricing and lead-time negotiations.
  • Collaboration with other internal teams to gain process efficiencies and meet the needs of our internal and external customers’ requirements.
