About The Position

The P2P Intern will support Vizient’s Procure-to-Pay team and learn how healthcare organizations manage purchasing, supplier transactions, invoices, and contracts. The role provides exposure to eCommerce Exchange, Transaction Management, Invoice Automation, Audit & Recovery, and P2P Solutions Engineering. The intern will assist with client discovery, solution research, data analysis, process documentation, and presentations. This role is suited to a curious, motivated student interested in how technology, data, and operational processes can improve procure-to-pay performance. The 10-week, full-time paid internship includes formal training, mentoring, on-the-job learning, and opportunities to interact with senior leaders. Interns work with a supervisor who mentors and develops their business skills and monitors their work experiences. Interns are members of the company team, set goals, work toward deadlines, and participate in community service projects. The program runs from June 1, 2027, through August 6, 2027, at 40 hours per week and $25 per hour.

Requirements

Demonstrate curiosity, ask thoughtful questions, enjoy learning new concepts, and show interest in developing knowledge of healthcare procurement and Procure-to-Pay operations.

Responsibilities

Support the P2P Solutions Engineering team with client discovery, research, meeting preparation, and follow-up activities.
Support Audit & Recovery activities by organizing data, researching potential payment discrepancies, identifying trends, and preparing internal analysis.
Support the Transaction Management team with contract pricing research and analysis.
Maintain confidentiality when working with client, supplier, financial, and operational information.
