About The Position

The Processing Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Processing Department during second shift. This position coordinates workflow, supports the processing team, communicates with other departments, and helps ensure production goals, food safety standards, and quality expectations are consistently met. This is a hands-on leadership role. In addition to supervising the shift, you'll assist with processing operations, operate equipment as needed, and help keep production running safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.
  • Stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Lift and move up to 50-75 pounds.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, moisture, and odors.
  • Safely operate industrial equipment and powered vehicles.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other required safety equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing, production, or processing experience.
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Forklift and/or yard truck experience.
  • Experience working with pumps, valves, or industrial processing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily processing activities to ensure loads are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Communicate production priorities and workflow with team members and other departments.
  • Assist with processing activities whenever additional support is needed.
  • Operate forklifts, yard trucks, and processing equipment as needed.
  • Capture, verify, and maintain required production and operational data.
  • Perform Clean-in-Place (CIP) cleaning of tanks and tankers.
  • Monitor and enforce Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and company safety procedures.
  • Help troubleshoot production issues and keep operations moving efficiently.
  • Support training and coaching of Processing Team Members.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
