Processing Laborer
About The Position
Livestock Nutrition Center is seeking motivated Processing Laborers to support operations at its feed manufacturing mill in Quanah, Texas. The role helps keep the mill and surrounding grounds clean, supports routine preventative maintenance and repair projects, records production information, and operates processing equipment safely and efficiently. Processing Laborers also help direct batches and finished products to the correct tanks, densifiers, and storage bays while following company safety practices and applicable OSHA standards. The position includes general housekeeping and other operational tasks assigned by local management. Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Ability to walk and stand for 12 hours a day or night.
- Ability to repetitively lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions, including exposure to dust and extreme heat or cold.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience.
- Skid steer experience.
- Front end loader experience.
- Familiarity with FSMA standards related to feed production.
Responsibilities
- Keep the mill and the surrounding grounds clean.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly routine preventative maintenance tasks.
- Assist maintenance staff and contractors with repair and maintenance projects, and fulfill Project Manager requests.
- Record production data and maintain accurate batch records, machine logs, and downtime reports.
- Help maximize the efficiency of the mill and crew.
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment after completing proper training.
- Follow company safety practices and OSHA standards.
- Recognize potential hazards when assembling or disassembling processing barn equipment, including densifiers and heat exchangers.
- Send batches to the correct surge tanks so they go to the proper densifier.
- Send final product to the proper bay in the Finished Product Barn.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including organizing the toolroom, maintaining the break room, and keeping the Processing Barn clean to minimize hazards.
- Perform other related operational processes and tasks as deemed necessary by local management.
