Processing Intake Specialist - PT
About The Position
The Processing Intake Specialist supports GraceWorks Ministries’ goals, values, and philosophy through excellence, quality service, commitment, and accountability. The role receives and sorts in-kind donations at the GraceWorks Franklin donation entryway, greets donors and delivery personnel, and directs visitors. It maintains high standards for merchandise selected for the Thrift Stores and keeps the donation and warehouse processing areas organized and functional. This is an in-person position at 104 Southeastern Parkway, Franklin, Tennessee. The position is not eligible for work from home except as otherwise noted or during emergency closures. The stated standard schedule is 40 hours per week, with some Saturdays required; schedules may vary based on operational needs. The position is classified as part-time. The work takes place in a retail and warehouse setting and may involve hot conditions depending on the season.
Requirements
- Previous work experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to articulate and teach the processing system.
- Sensitivity to donor and customer service needs.
- Highly developed organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Brand awareness and fashion sensibility.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- Problem-solving skills and good judgment.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Ability to stand for up to the entire shift.

Responsibilities
- Lift, sort, and price inventory.
- Receive donations and place items into appropriate bins for tagging.
- Use brand awareness and fashion sensibility when selecting merchandise for processing bins.
- Help integrate seasonal and departmental inventory into the ongoing processing chain.
- Assist with training intake volunteers.
- Greet donors and delivery personnel.
- Offer receipts to donors when they drop off donations.
- Explain the GraceWorks story to people who ask.
- Help maintain and organize the warehouse processing area.
- Respond proactively to change and handle other assigned duties and essential tasks with a positive attitude.
