Bernie’s Book Bank is dedicated to ensuring children have access to books, believing that reading is crucial for their success. The organization's mission is to hand-deliver free, high-quality books to children in need, supported by a large volunteer base. Bernie's Book Bank has distributed over 29 million books since its founding, with a model designed to provide eight books annually to children from birth to sixth grade, fostering home libraries and encouraging reading. The organization is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated team member to serve as a Volunteer Facilitator, who will be central to creating a welcoming, fun, and productive environment for both staff and volunteers. This role requires availability Monday through Saturday, with one to two Saturdays per month, and primary working hours between 9 am and 6 pm. The Volunteer Facilitator will oversee all activities in the Processing Center, focusing on production, quality, and safety, while prioritizing distribution goals and an exceptional volunteer experience. This position is key to empowering children through book ownership and enhancing their reading skills.
