About The Position

Process Technicians play a critical role in maintaining the quality and performance of semiconductor manufacturing processes and wafers. The Process Technician is responsible for sustaining and improving manufacturing processes within the fab, ensuring high yield, process stability, and product quality. This role supports production by troubleshooting process and equipment issues, analyzing data, and implementing continuous improvements. The technician will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Maintenance teams to sustain operations, enhance process capability, and promote a culture of quality and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience (CMP experience required)
  • Associate’s (AA) Technical Degree or equivalent hands-on factory experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to logically isolate and resolve issues
  • Working knowledge of process control, SPC, sampling strategies, and data analysis
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting manufacturing data and trends
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Basic understanding of EHS standards and chemical handling/nomenclature
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with site personnel

Nice To Haves

  • Technical coursework or additional training preferred
  • Familiarity with systems such as PCM, RMS, ECMS, LDMS, and MDR preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support CMP/ATMC production by executing, sustaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing processes
  • Monitor and sustain area production needs to meet output and quality targets
  • Review and disposition FDC faults in accordance with established OCAPs
  • Disposition material and ensure accurate documentation in systems such as LDMS/MDR
  • Review and analyze SPC and TMON data to identify trends and drive corrective actions
  • Perform engineering qualification tasks and support process changes
  • Develop, update, and maintain process documentation including specifications, OCAPs, and SWEs
  • Improve process performance, stability, and yield through data-driven continuous improvement
  • Optimize tool utilization and availability in partnership with maintenance and engineering teams
  • Set up and optimize Nova and touch-up recipes (CMP-specific)
  • Support and promote a strong Quality Culture, including standardized work and 5S methodology
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve issues
  • Train manufacturing personnel on procedures and standardized work as required
