About The Position

The Process Technician is the technical leader on shift for the assigned work team. The role coordinates the integration of new equipment and products, supports employee engagement and team productivity, restores production flow, provides costing data, and coordinates continuous improvement activities and projects. The position works nights from 4:50 p.m. to 5:45 a.m. and includes one flex shift.

Requirements

Good communication skills.
Self-starter.
Thermoforming tooling knowledge.
Experience operating thermoforming or extrusion equipment at Operator 4 or 5 under the old system, or Operator 2 or 3 under the new system.
Scheduling knowledge.
Good Excel and project knowledge.
Leadership, communication, problem-solving, decision-quality, and technical-credibility skills.
Associate degree or equivalent experience.
Experience operating machinery, analyzing, and solving problems.

Nice To Haves

Two years of setup experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and facilitate the addition of new equipment or products into work team activities, ensuring teams are comfortable using them.
Establish a productive working environment that develops, supports, and motivates employees.
Prioritize and allocate team resources, engage defined help chains, and return the team to the defined standard when production flow is disrupted.
Provide accurate and timely cost data for new products and existing products requiring changes, maintaining estimating assumptions based on material and production-line constraints.
Execute the Plan, Do, Check, Act process to support continual improvement using tools such as A3, Storyboards, War Room, and SAPQ1/Q3.
Coordinate and facilitate assigned projects within work team activities.
