About The Position

Omega Plastics Inc is seeking a Process Technician for their 2nd Shift. This is a hands-on role where you will take the lead on the production floor, managing the entire lifecycle of each job from mold changes and start-up through first article approval, operator training, and final shut down. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced injection molding environment and is committed to producing quality parts correctly from the outset. This position is for 2nd Shift, working Mondays through Fridays from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, with occasional weekend work required.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in plastic injection molding (process technician or setup role)
Proven ability to perform mold changes, start-ups, and process troubleshooting
Strong understanding of injection molding processes, materials, and part quality standards
Experience with first article inspections and basic quality measurement tools
Ability to read and follow work instructions, process sheets, and part prints
Strong communication skills with the ability to train operators and work cross-functionally
High attention to detail with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities
Basic computer skills for documentation and production tracking

Nice To Haves

Experience with scientific molding or RJG principles
Familiarity with automation/robotics (e.g., Wittmann)
