About The Position

This is a hands-on Process Technician role at Omega Plastics Inc, where the individual will lead the full lifecycle of each job in a fast-paced injection molding environment. Responsibilities range from mold changes and start-up through first article approval, operator training, and final shut down, with a strong emphasis on producing quality parts efficiently.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in plastic injection molding (process technician or setup role)
  • Proven ability to perform mold changes, start-ups, and process troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of injection molding processes, materials, and part quality standards
  • Experience with first article inspections and basic quality measurement tools
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, process sheets, and part prints
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train operators and work cross-functionally
  • High attention to detail with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and production tracking

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with scientific molding or RJG principles
  • Familiarity with automation/robotics (e.g., Wittmann)

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on the floor as Process Technician, owning the full lifecycle of each job.
  • Perform mold changes and start-up.
  • Conduct first article approval.
  • Provide operator training.
  • Perform final shut down.
  • Ensure safe and efficient mold changes and job start-ups.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operators, quality, and project teams to deliver successful, high-quality production outcomes.
