You have a proven track record, strong mechanical aptitude, excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and a drive for continuous improvement. You enjoy a challenge and have the energy and vision to recognize and implement improvement opportunities both independently and as part of a team with members of all levels of an organization.

Requirements

B.S. degree (or technology diploma) in Engineering, Process Science, or related field from an accredited college/university.
5+ years of experience in Process engineering or technology, Process development, quality engineering, or manufacturing.
3+ years of experience in a leadership role in a unionized environment.
A demonstrated ability to select and apply sound engineering practices and principles to the design and development of high volume consumer products Process.
Strong background and proven results in Leading Continuous Improvement efforts through the application of Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma Activities.
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Recognized technical abilities and practical experience with strong capabilities in the following areas: Theory/functionality of manufacturing systems and unit operations; Continuous improvement; Statistics and analytical methods; Process measurement and control; Mechanical aptitude; Troubleshooting; Ability to understand and apply general engineering principles.
Manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to lead diverse teams to challenge the status quo to achieve operational improvements.
Demonstrated ability to identify problems, develops solutions, and quickly implements their strategy.
Proficient skills specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook are required.
Fundamental understanding of food standards, safety and sanitary regulations and good manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

Accountable for identifying and implementing improvements in Process equipment throughput, quality, safety, and efficiency.
Manage the day-to-day issues and operations in the refinery.
Working closely with operational personnel to understand problems, perform troubleshooting, and develop solutions together.
Use strong continuous improvement skills to enhance system reliability and identify/implement productivity and cost improvements, including new technologies.
Show thorough understanding of the interactions between machine, materials, methods, environment, and people to provide robust operating systems.
Provide key technical support in capital projects and new product and Process equipment testing/start-ups.
Ensure safety and quality aspects of the equipment meet company requirements.
Provide documentation, operator and maintenance training and support.
Design and develop capital projects for new equipment installation.
Provide guidance, training, and development to supervisors and hourly operators.
Other duties as assigned.
