About The Position

UGN is seeking a Process Specialist to join their team in Monroe, Ohio. This role is crucial for maintaining and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The Monroe facility is a state-of-the-art operation specializing in acoustic insulation, carpet, and underfloor technologies for major automotive companies.

Requirements

Associate degree (A.A.) from two-year college or technical school; and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or members of the organization.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications--Word, Excel, Access, and Microsoft Outlook.
Knowledge of Design software; Development software; Internet software; and Project Management software.

Responsibilities

Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Determine optimum process conditions for new and existing products.
Initiate process improvements to maximize manufacturing output and reduce costs.
Investigate problems and formulate solutions.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (work instructions) for processes and equipment.
Contribute to the development and implementation of interdepartmental programs.
Assist in the implementation of process improvement and cost reduction programs.
Coordinate activities of contractors and vendors.
Visit customers, suppliers and vendors as needed for quality defect analysis and solution implementation.
Perform capacity studies on all plant processes.
Research best equipment for application along with costs.
Perform programming changes to robots as required.
Understand all aspects of TPS and use this knowledge to train other team members.
