Officially opened in September 2015 as a 232,500 square foot facility, this cutting-edge operation is a powerhouse of innovation and quality. With approximately 400 dedicated Team Members, the Monroe plant specializes in delivering top-tier acoustic insulation, carpet, and underfloor technologies to companies such as Honda, Toyota, and Subaru. In 2018, UGN invested $50 million in the facility’s growth, adding and additional 150,000 square feet (65%) to plant capacity. Requirements

  • Associate degree (A.A.) from two-year college or technical school; and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or members of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications--Word, Excel, Access, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Design software; Development software; Internet software; and Project Management software.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Determine optimum process conditions for new and existing products.
  • Initiate process improvements to maximize manufacturing output and reduce costs.
  • Investigate problems and formulate solutions.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (work instructions) for processes and equipment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of interdepartmental programs.
  • Assist in the implementation of process improvement and cost reduction programs.
  • Coordinate activities of contractors and vendors.
  • Visit customers, suppliers and vendors as needed for quality defect analysis and solution implementation.
  • Perform capacity studies on all plant processes.
  • Research best equipment for application along with costs.
  • Perform programming changes to robots as required.
  • Understand all aspects of TPS and use this knowledge to train other team members.
