About The Position

The Process Operator I independently performs the responsibilities of one or more production positions, including Bagger/Strapper Operator, Boxer Operator, Filler or Middle Operator, and Coatings Operator. The role supports production, quality control, and customer demand, and may coordinate with other production operators and Shipping/Receiving personnel. The position is located at a facility in Winter Haven, Florida; Fernley, Nevada; Hazleton, Pennsylvania; Waco, Texas; or Phoenix, Arizona.

Requirements

For Bagger/Strapper and Mixer positions, proficiency in using the respective machine computers.
Ability to complete production and safety paperwork.
Ability to work shift work.
Ability to stand 8–12 hours a day, climb stairs often and ladders periodically, and lift up to 60 pounds or up to 120 pounds with assistance.
Visual acuity, including color perception, and good hearing.
Hires are subject to a pre-employment physical.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Promote health, safety, and environmental compliance by following applicable corporate, federal, state, and local standards, policies, and procedures.
Follow the quality system, including its philosophy, quality statement, manual, and procedures.
Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety rules and procedures.
Monitor the visual quality of products.
Keep the work station clean, organized, and free of tripping hazards.
As a Bagger/Strapper Operator, accurately weigh and measure raw materials as required.
As a Boxer Operator, accurately stamp or label boxes as required.
As a Middle Operator, splice surfacing fabrics and film into the production line as needed.
Maintain operation of the middle section of the line in accordance with quality specifications and product requirements.
Operate press rollers and maintain the sheet-cooling process.
Set up raw materials and assist with product-change setups.
As a Coatings Operator, accurately weigh, measure, and fill raw materials as required.
Perform other duties as required.
