About The Position

The Process Monitor is responsible for monitoring weight butterflies throughout the shift and inspecting butterfly filets to report averages. This role also involves maintaining a neat and organized work area, complying with plant policies, and upholding the highest standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness according to GMP policies. The employee will follow written specifications for packaging and labeling products, and physically inspect products for defects, both natural and processing-related. Natural defects include bruises and blood spots, while processing defects may include foreign material and out-of-spec product. The Process Monitor must identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their supervisor, such as product tampering, willful product adulteration, unauthorized employees in restricted areas, potential product adulteration, or equipment malfunctions that could compromise product wholesomeness.

Requirements

• Working at temperature of 45 degrees Fahrenheit
• Standing / walking 100% of the workday
• Lifting / moving up to 10-20 pounds on a frequent basis
• Carry clipboard and paperwork weighing less than one pound on a constant basis

Responsibilities

• Weight butterflies throughout the shift
• Inspect the butterfly filets to report averages throughout the shift
• Help maintain a neat and organized work area
• Comply with written plant policies
• Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies
• Follow the written specification for packaging and labeling of products
• Physically inspect products for both natural occurring and processing defects
• Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official
