Cortez - Process Maintenance Electrical and Instrumentation Technician
About The Position
Nevada Gold Mines is hiring a Process Electrical and Instrumentation Technician for its Cortez operation. The successful candidate will safely and effectively perform preventive maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting on power distribution centers, switchgear, motors and controls, process controls, and instrumentation. The role requires willingness to work rotating day and night shifts, overtime, and callouts. The technician will work with maintenance and operational teams and may perform other duties as assigned. Requirements
- At least two years of experience performing electrical and instrumentation duties; two years of trade school or equivalent training may substitute for two years of the required experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation circuits.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, follow instructions, and provide feedback.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Willingness and ability to work with maintenance and operational teams.
- Good safety record and ability to work with various safety programs.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with PLC controls, troubleshooting and programming.
- Experience with variable frequency drives.
