About The Position

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Process Electrical and Instrumentation Technician for its Cortez operation. The role safely and effectively performs preventive maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting on power distribution centers, switchgear, motors and controls, process controls, and instrumentation. The successful candidate works with maintenance and operational teams and must be willing to work rotating day and night shifts, overtime, and callouts.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience performing electrical and instrumentation duties; two years of trade school or equivalent training may substitute for two years of required experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation circuits.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, follow instructions, and provide feedback.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Willingness and ability to work with maintenance and operational teams.
• Good safety record and ability to work with various safety programs.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with PLC controls, troubleshooting and programming, and variable frequency drives.
