About The Position

Prepare and pack high quality cuts of meats according to customer specifications using company standards and adhering to all safety requirements. Majority of time will be spent operating processing equipment. This is a 1st shift position with a schedule of Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with potential for overtime. The role is located at the Stock Yards Facility in Spokane Valley WA.

Requirements

• Experience with CryoVac, MultiVac, Dicers, Needle, Slicer,Portion Cutter, laser portion machinery or other meat production equipment is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment 35°F- 45°F.
• Ability to work overtime with or without notice.
• Ability to stand continuously.
• Ability to lift 11-20 lbs frequently.
• Ability to lift 21-50 lbs frequently.
• Ability to lift 51-100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to carry 21-50 lbs frequently.
• Ability to carry 51-100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to push/pull frequently.
• Ability to climb/balance frequently.
• Ability to stoop/squat frequently.
• Ability to bend frequently.
• Ability to twist frequently.
• Ability to grasp objects continuously.
• Ability to manipulate objects frequently.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of all poultry, beef, lamb, and pork products preferred.
• Knowledge of USDA grades and standards.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operation of Meat Processing Equipment; CryoVac, MultiVacs, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutters, Scales, Pack, trim and customize portions of meat products using knives, or other meat production equipment.
• Count and stack on tray portions per customer and company specifications.
• Label portion with supplied number product labels.
• Set up packing and labeling area as required.
• Perform end of day functions.
• Actively maintain, and merchandise partial cart.
• Keep packing area and cutting room and surrounding area clean and sanitized.
• Follow company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Perform end of day functions.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
