About The Position

Assure that daily operations meet or exceed productivity indicators for manufacturing thermoplastic elastomer compounds and polyvinyl chloride compounds in accordance with environmental, health and safety, and quality, standards to meet customer requirements.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years manufacturing experience preferred, supervisory experience preferred
  • Compounding experience a plus
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles
  • Leadership ability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to become First Aid and CPR certified
  • Ability to cope with multiple priorities
  • Basic computer skills, Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Strong focus on follow-up and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Willing to work flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all environmental, health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Recommend continuous improvements ideas in all areas including production methods, equipment, operating procedures, working conditions, quality and environmental, health and safety.
  • Plan, organize, assign and supervise work of process operators.
  • Support and implement Company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure effective employee relations and assist in resolving employee issues through problem resolution.
  • Provide leadership to direct reports including training, coaching and development.
  • Monitor departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular verbal and written progress reports to Supervisor.
  • Assist with maintenance related activities.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Create and maintain reports and documentation as required including, but not limited to, attendance, training, and ISO related records.
  • Initiate corrective actions as needed for direct reports.
  • Initiate or suggest ideas for employee motivation.
  • Perform process operator and shipping and receiving activities as needed.
  • Ensure work areas are clean and well organized (5S).
  • Other duties as assigned
