About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting daily operations on a specific assembly line. This includes assisting supervisor with planning, assigning and directing work assignments, while achieving quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer familiarity and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Use of decimals, fractions, scales
  • Line experience in multiple areas
  • Demonstrated quality background
  • Must be able to work required overtime.
  • Must be punctual and timely.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior knowledge and experience in department operations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in other areas is a plus.
  • Must gain or have knowledge of basic department functions in order to perform, when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to interpret Master Production Schedule, JIT reports, Kanban containers, etc., to determine area requirements.
  • Be familiar with department performance goals and measurements and strive to meet or exceed goals.
  • Familiarity with basic technical aspects of all jobs within the department.
  • Must be able to meet requirements of all skilled positions.
  • Monitor production standards and quality control measures.
  • Work with supervisor to prioritize staffing assignments based on current Training Matrix.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure part supply and availability.
  • Ensure efficient and effective line handoff.
  • Promote 5S culture.
  • Lead by example.
  • Provide daily summary to supervisor.
  • Prepared to assess areas of high performance and low performance on the line, detailing key drivers of performance across all resource categories.
  • Work with supervisor to provide value during Weekly Toolbox Talk meetings.
