About The Position

The Retail Development Program (RDP) is a fast-paced three-month program designed to prepare recent college graduates for a full-time role at Belk. We offer opportunities in several of our business functions including Merchandising, Planning, Supply Chain and more! The program focuses on key components to support your development: Education, Experience, Exposure, Innovation and Results. The Retail Development Program – Process Improvement Analyst will hire a class of program participants in our Charlotte, NC headquarters. RDPs are required to move and live in the Charlotte, NC Metro area with work-from-home flexibility. The Process Improvement Analyst position will be an essential part of the Supply Chain team and will be responsible for leading key strategic initiatives from planning through implementation. This position will be responsible for driving performance improvements related to supply chain quality and reliability. Participants are also matched with mentors to help acclimate to Belk and develop on the job.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by Belk for this position now or in the future
  • Must have graduated within 6 months of May 2026 and able to start full time June 2026
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong academic performance in Industrial/Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Data Analytics, strongly preferred.
  • Prior internship in field strongly preferred.
  • Passion for solving problems; strong analytical skills
  • Open to learning, able to adapt to changing circumstances and reprioritize tasks as needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and partners at all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies through trend analysis, root cause analysis, and auditing
  • Develop and maintain KPIs measuring supply chain performance including quality, efficiency and profitability
  • Utilize analytical tools to streamline communication and visibility of supply chain performance via scorecards, dashboards, etc.
  • Partner with merchants, operations and supply chain teams to assess vendor performance and forecast the impact of changes to volume, assortment, vendor profile and strategic initiatives
  • Assess and optimize use of software tools, platforms or automation opportunities within supply chain workflows
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget, including post implementation training, troubleshooting, and ongoing support as necessary
  • Apply end-to-end distribution and fulfillment operations knowledge
  • Support projects in both a distribution and corporate environment
