You Are A supply chain and operations professional with a strong foundation in industrial engineering and process optimization. You bring hands-on experience, or a drive to build it, in labor standards development, lean process improvement, and performance management. You are developing your ability to connect operational processes to measurable business outcomes for clients. You are comfortable contributing to project workstreams under the guidance of your leaders and are motivated to deepen both your technical and consulting skills. You are curious, coachable, and excited to grow in a client-facing consulting environment.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business Management, Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, or significant equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Available to travel 80-90% of the time
  • Available to work weekends, as needed by project schedules
  • 1-3 years in consulting experience
  • Experience with LEAN Six Sigma process improvement principles and practices
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Additional applicable software skills including Auto Cad, Microsoft Access, and Excel VBA coding
  • Fluency in at least one foreign language a plus, Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with client managers and associates to observe and learn processes for labor standard development, applying disciplines including Lean, Six Sigma, human factors and ergonomics, workstation design, queuing theory, and facility and process design.
  • Use observations to identify opportunities to improve job methods, safety, or accuracy, and to remove wasted effort from operational processes.
  • Partner with the client to prioritize, implement, and train associates on improved processes.
  • Complete the labor standard development process, including: Documenting preferred methods, Defining and writing elements, Creating and testing UMT time study templates, Educating and calibrating the time study team, Collecting, entering, and analyzing time study data, Identifying and tracking production tasks, Finalizing personal and fatigue allowances.
  • Educate associates related to their successful participation in a Performance Management program, covering: Time and production tracking, Calculating performance and incentive, How standards are developed, How to be successful on-standard.
  • Conduct associate brainstorming and training sessions effectively and clearly.
  • Represent Accenture professionally in all consultant/client relationships.
  • Engage in on-site client facing relationships with various levels in the organization, from associates to operations leaders, including executive leaders.
