Process Engineering Intern

Texas Instruments•Lehi, UT

About The Position

Texas Instruments is seeking a Process Engineering Intern in its Analog Technology Development (ATD) Group. The group defines and develops next-generation process and device technologies. This role focuses on interconnect process integration, helping define and develop processes and process flows that meet interconnect performance and reliability needs. The metal system supports reliable, low-resistance interconnects for power devices, area scaling, high process yields, cost leadership, and high-precision resistor and capacitor components. The intern will contribute to efforts involving electrical test circuits, process-yield analysis, metal and dielectric reliability, and actions needed to meet technology yield and reliability requirements.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related engineering field.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong materials background in metals and/or dielectrics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
  • Ability to take initiative and drive results.
  • Ability to build influential relationships.
  • Good listening skills.

Responsibilities

  • Define electrical test circuits to assess process capability against design rules.
  • Characterize and analyze process yield data.
  • Assess the reliability of the metal and dielectric in the interconnect system.
  • Work with the team to drive actions needed to meet technology yield and reliability requirements.
