Process Engineering Intern

Texas Instruments•Lehi, UT

About The Position

Texas Instruments is seeking a Process Engineering Intern in the Analog Technology Development (ATD) Group. The group defines and develops next-generation process and device technologies. This role focuses on interconnect process integration: developing processes and process flows that meet the performance and reliability needs of interconnect systems, including low-resistance interconnects with strong electromigration capability for high-current applications and high-precision resistors for high-performance amplifiers. The work supports reliable interconnects for power devices, area scaling, high process yields, cost leadership, and precision resistor and capacitor components.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related engineering field.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong materials background in metals and/or dielectrics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
  • Ability to take initiative and drive results, and to build influential relationships.
  • Good listening skills.

Responsibilities

  • Define electrical test circuits to assess process capability against design rules.
  • Characterize and analyze process yield data.
  • Assess the reliability of the metal and dielectric in the interconnect system.
  • Work with the team to drive actions needed to meet technology yield and reliability requirements.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay and benefits designed to support employees and their families.
  • Career and development opportunities.
