About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Process Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Bothell, WA office. This role involves assisting process and mechanical engineers in the design, analysis, and optimization of industrial systems and equipment related to power plants. The intern will support the development and review of process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and engineering drawings. Additionally, the intern will prepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering documentation, and participate in project planning activities such as scheduling, material tracking, and progress monitoring.

Requirements

  • Must have completed 60 hours towards a mechanical or chemical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.

Nice To Haves

  • No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.

Responsibilities
