About The Position

This internship focuses on process engineering, involving reviews of existing processes, root cause analysis, and the development of improvement plans. The intern will implement lean manufacturing and 5S kaizen principles, analyze data for trends, lead cross-functional teams, and manage projects, providing regular updates to stakeholders. The role operates in a general office environment with potential travel requirements.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of quality control systems and process improvement techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analytics tools such as Excel.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of existing processes for efficiency.
• Identify a problem’s root cause and create actionable solutions.
• Develop plans for improvement and techniques for implementation.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and/or 5S kaizen principles.
• Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
• Monitor progress towards goals and regularly update stakeholders on project status.
