About The Position
Marzetti is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to join our 2027 Summer Internship Program! Still in school but ready to start building your career? The Marzetti Summer Internship Program gives ambitious students the opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on experience while exploring where their career could take them after graduation. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program with a focus in: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Leadership or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office® applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CAD or ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data analysis and process improvement
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills demonstrated through extracurricular activities and/or work experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
- Action-oriented with sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution
- Works effectively both independently and in team settings
Nice To Haves
- familiarity with CAD or ERP systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support multiple process improvement projects through various phases of project execution
- Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Lean).
- Support quality assurance activities, including inspections and audits.
- Manage and communicate project goals and progress
- Partner cross-functionally to identify opportunities for improved production
- Supports work plans, quality control, and material costs within established guidelines
