Process Engineering Intern - Aerospace

About The Position

As an Engineering Intern at CoorsTek, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, contributing to the development and enhancement of our processes, products, and equipment. This hands-on role offers you the opportunity to work alongside seasoned engineers and production staff, gaining invaluable experience across various facets of manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Materials Engineering degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) is preferred.
  • Previous experience with manufacturing processes or equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis of metallization processes and equipment.
  • Set up and execute design of experiments (DOE) to validate and refine manufacturing processes and product designs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and production teams to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality.
  • Perform root cause analysis and problem-solving to address technical issues and ensure smooth production operations.
  • Proficiency in CAD software to assist in product and process design tasks.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates effectively.
  • Hands on preparation and analysis of test samples
