The Process Engineering Intern position is primarily responsible for assisting with the development of new materials (60%), automation development (10%), process improvement and troubleshooting (25%), and documentation compilation and update (5%). This role requires an interest in industrial engineering and strong communication skills. The intern will be involved in developing and testing new materials, including inks, silver paste, screens, cutting wheels, and drills, by compiling process requirements, evaluating suppliers, conducting lab and production tests, comparing materials, and documenting usage. They will also assist in managing automation projects such as quality inspection and laser marking systems, which involves compiling requirements, evaluating suppliers, comparing proposals, and tracking project progress. Furthermore, the intern will contribute to organizing process improvement initiatives and troubleshooting technical issues in production, facilitating meetings, and collaborating with engineers and production teams. Finally, a key part of the role is compiling and updating various documents like work instructions, process requirements, process reports, and new material standards.
