The Process Engineer is responsible for developing and documenting die cast processes for optimum quality and output.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- 10 years of experience in set-up, operation and process development with die cast machines, preferably Buhler, Prince and Weingarten machines
- A strong understanding of complex die cast tools integrated with hydraulic and electronic cylinders, slides and switches
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Die Cast experience
Responsibilities
- Assist operations in maintaining optimum process and troubleshooting.
- Participate in tool design and cavity configuration for both new and existing programs.
- Work with other departments during APQP events to ensure smooth introduction of new and revised die castings, or to resolve equipment, process, quality, efficiency or tooling issues.
- Minor maintenance on die cast machines as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
