About The Position

The Process Engineer plays a key role in advancing manufacturing performance by driving process improvements that support productivity, quality, and reduced scrap. This position also contributes to equipment enhancements and collaborates closely with suppliers, procurement, and R&D to optimize operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with coating processes for paper and/or film products (protective coatings or tapes preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of process control, data analysis, and statistical methods.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (certification preferred).
  • Proven track record in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Solid problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with web handling, coating technologies, or roll-to-roll manufacturing.
  • Experience with process validation and scale-up.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, monitor, and optimize process parameters for coating lines producing paper and film-based products.
  • Improve process stability, product quality, and throughput through data-driven analysis and controlled experimentation.
  • Develop, standardize, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and support operational performance.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events.
  • Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, improve yield, and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, maintenance, and R&D teams to drive operational excellence.
  • Troubleshoot process issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support equipment modifications and process scale-up activities.
