This role involves collaborating on specialized and broad-based assignments and projects, potentially including electrical power and controls, to develop or improve manufacturing processes. The Process Engineer will conduct process optimization trials, analyze results, and provide recommendations. They will also prepare monthly quality and production reports, assist with equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repair, and perform machine break analysis. Additionally, the role includes conducting chemical trials, analyzing tooling failures, evaluating tool characteristics, performing operational diagnostics, and providing technical support to enhance equipment and process reliability. There may be opportunities to guide less experienced engineering colleagues. The Process Engineer will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree and 4-8 years of experience.
  • Broad knowledge of industrial instrumentation, electrical systems, manufacturing processes, and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Works effectively under general supervision and independently.
  • Strong Project Management knowledge.
  • Detail oriented with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g. CAD).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates on specialized and broad-based assignments and projects that may require collaboration with other functions.
  • May collaborate on projects involving electrical power and controls to develop new or improve existing manufacturing processes.
  • Process optimization trials, analysis and recommendations.
  • Prepares monthly quality and production reports.
  • Assists with installation, troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
  • Machine break analysis, troubleshooting and recommendations.
  • Chemical trials, analysis and recommendations.
  • Analyzes tooling failures and evaluates tool characteristics and requirements.
  • May coordinate and perform periodic operational diagnostics on operations.
  • Provides technical support to improve equipment and process reliability.
  • May provide assistance and guidance to less experienced engineering colleagues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
