Process Engineer
About The Position
ATTC Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer responsible for planning, directing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency. This role supports both ongoing production and the introduction of new technologies, equipment, and processes. Founded in 2000, ATTC Manufacturing is a leading producer of precision-machined brake drums, rotors, steering knuckles, carriers, and differential cases for the automotive industry. The company emphasizes investing in team members, continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence, aiming to deliver high-quality products with exceptional efficiency. This position is located onsite at their Jeffersonville, IN facility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing principles, methods, and process control.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with robotics, CNC machinery, pneumatics, PLCs, and industrial electrical/mechanical systems.
- Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and tools used in manufacturing.
- Review and evaluate equipment, hardware, and tooling; recommend upgrades or replacements.
- Lead the development and implementation of new manufacturing methods and process controls.
- Oversee installation and modification of production equipment; train staff on new systems.
- Prepare operations manuals and documentation for new and existing equipment.
- Stay current with emerging manufacturing technologies and apply them to improve operations.
- Analyze workflow, space use, and equipment layout to maximize efficiency.
- Estimate production time, staffing needs, and costs for management decision-making.
- Collaborate with management, production, and engineering teams to align manufacturing goals.
- Apply statistical methods to predict and plan for future manufacturing needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
