Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Chemical, Industrial, or Food Engineering (or equivalent experience/education considered).
  • Experience in Process/Production Engineering with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Self-starter who can navigate ambiguity, stay organized, and deliver results with urgency and ownership.
  • Strong project management capability, including multitasking and effective time management.
  • Team-oriented leader with high integrity who can collaborate across all levels, support technical development of the hourly workforce, and use PC tools and statistical data analysis (or be working toward proficiency)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to maintenance and operations through process studies, troubleshooting, process optimization, and historical data analysis to monitor and control key operating parameters.
  • Partner with the plant safety professional, plant staff, and JHSC to support facility safety initiatives, including Pre-Start Health & Safety Reviews and safer work process design.
  • Maintain and analyze historical performance data to track efficiencies versus design and help operations meet cost and production goals.
  • Execute or support capital and process projects by managing scope, budget, and schedule; supervising construction and startup; coordinating across QC/QA, safety, environmental, and maintenance; and training personnel.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, drawings, SOPs, and technical standards are produced, validated, and maintained for production, systems, and maintenance teams.
  • Lead incident Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive corrective action communication, while using analytical problem-solving to support plant management’s improvement objectives.
  • Lead and coach continuous improvement and performance culture initiatives (PDCA, Kaizen, SMED, Lean Six Sigma), including training needs assessment, competency development, and cost reduction/productivity/quality improvements.
