About The Position

The Process Engineer is a member of the Wax Engineering team. The successful candidate will lead root cause analysis, develop process controls, and champion new processes. The Process Engineer coordinates dispositions cross-functionally with other departments and/or the customer as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Champions the development of specific investment casting processes to meet required customer specification, quality and production goals.
  • Responsible for investment casting process improvements including elimination of wax defects such as cracks, handling, dimensional defects and the improvement of machine utilization.
  • Develop new processes, define controls and develop solutions to process related programs.
  • Coordinates with product engineer, production engineers, supervisors and other stakeholders to achieve plant scrap targets.
  • Communicate with customers on process issues.
  • Prepare process approval packages on developmental jobs or revised processes.
  • Provide hands on, floor level investigations and problem solving.
  • Respond as necessary on the off shift to advise on and provide solutions to process problems.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors, and peers.
  • Accept special projects as assigned.
