Process Engineer 1

DENSO•Maryville, TN
•$73,000 - $91,000

About The Position

Under general supervision, the Process Engineer applies foundational engineering knowledge and established Production Engineering methods to defined manufacturing tasks. The role supports process development, troubleshooting, changes, validation, and documentation while developing self-reliance and sound engineering judgment. The position requires learning manufacturing process flows, equipment, material flow, controls, inspection methods, operating standards, and system or line loss modes. The engineer investigates abnormalities at the Genba using actual parts, equipment conditions, data, drawings, standards, and input from affected functions. With guidance, the role supports structured troubleshooting and data analysis, including basic stratification, trend, capability, and measurement-system analysis. The Process Engineer reads product and machine drawings and supports updates to process-flow diagrams, control plans, PFMEA, QA-network documents, work instructions, and related records. The role completes assigned portions of feasibility studies, specifications, trials, runoffs, capability studies, and changes using approved check sheets; verifies assigned modifications and launch-readiness items; and escalates incomplete safety, quality, or delivery requirements. The engineer also prepares technical reports, creates basic know-how records, and supports safety, 5S, kaizen, and cross-functional teamwork. Other duties may be assigned.
