About The Position

ADF Engineering, Inc. is hiring a full-time Process Engineer I in Miamisburg, Ohio. The role supports the development, design, and implementation of process engineering solutions for industrial projects. Under the guidance of experienced engineers and project managers, the Process Engineer I assists with process design and analysis, PFD and P&ID development, equipment sizing and specifications, mass and energy balances, process modeling, and field/site walkdowns. The role collaborates with multidisciplinary project teams to develop practical, safe, and reliable engineering solutions while building technical knowledge and project experience. ADF Engineering provides consulting mechanical, structural, process, and electrical engineering services to industrial clients throughout the United States and Canada. This position is based in Miamisburg, Ohio, and requires willingness to travel 30% of the time. The schedule is Monday through Friday, typically 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
0 to 2 years of engineering experience.
Willingness and ability to learn and be open minded.
Willingness to travel 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

Perform assigned project tasks with guidance from Engineers, Lead Designers, and Managers.
Participate in collecting data and producing sketches from field inspections.
Interpret mark-ups and field data from others.
Create or modify PFDs and P&IDs.
Perform simple hydraulic and heat/mass balance calculations.
Assemble piping, equipment, and instrument specifications and obtain vendor quotes.
Evaluate the applicability of environmental and safety design codes to specific client conditions.
Participate in coordination of project details with Engineers and Lead Designers.
Communicate with Engineers, Project Managers, and other Designers as necessary to clarify assigned project tasks.
Carry out assigned tasks.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
