About The Position

The Process Engineering Technician provides technical support and sustaining engineering in a product manufacturing area. Planning and directing implementation of equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products. Acting as engineering liaison with product design and development to ensure processes and designs are compatible.

Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Has fine motor skills and rapid mental-muscular coordination.
Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
Regular attendance is an essential job function of this position.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assuring manufacturing process is running per procedure or conducting engineering tests
Monitors manufacturing process or performs failure analysis for engineering or quality
Takes measurements for process control or gathers measurement data for engineering
Re-writes documentation to update new practices or writes and prepares reports for engineering or quality
Responds to data on process control charts or maintains material movement spreadsheets and reports results
Runs tests through production process line or assists process engineer with evaluating for rescaling
Examine product under magnification using micro-scope equipment
Responsible for all processes within manufacturing and/or support the efforts of engineers
Perform process control activities such as measuring product or performing tests
Follow all safety measures.
